Frank folds his arms across his chest sourly.

Jaymes looks at the Chief "But Chief they..." Then he points to the direction of the voice "What do I do if Dagmar starts that ... sort of thing?"

"Pray. And target practice."

"You mean when. And you do what I do...give her the best advice you can, then let her go."

And if you move real slow, I'll let it goooo!" Siv is in a good mood somewhere

A back-hand swat at Frank.

Jaymes actually smiles a BIT to his brother, gratitude too

"And grit your teeth."

"Already got that part down" He says

Frank takes the swat without flinching.

"Yeah, well, Tove is sure Dagmar will find some guy or girl she can trust and we should support her like you said... and thinks it's.. well, the word she used is 'it's healthy'" Hurumph

"I'm so excited, and I just can't hide it

Brekke sighs. "It is. Or would you prefer that Tove were still firmly under Torvald's oversight, under lock and key?"

"That's different" The lightning worker says.

She calls out. "Siv! A moment here, please...."

Siv comes over "Mum, Da.. oh, Uncle Jaymes! Hey" Their daughter does not stomp, nor march. She strides with a lot of skip in it. Yup, good mood.

Now in view she says "I was going to head to teaneck later this evening"

Frank nods tersely and goes back to rooting around for a vine weed.

"Yes, I gathered that. Siv...for the sake of those adults who are trying to grant you your freedoms but would prefer not to have to think about the specifics too much, may I ask you to limit that song to quieter volumes?" A tense request.

"It is not quite Beltaine yet, after all."

A blush "Oh.. I didn't even realize I was singing it ..It's just, you know, Beltaine soon, love is in the air, I'm a healthy young woman.. and... probably shouldn't continue this line of converstaion" She says, showing she's learning "Okay. Ah, you called? was it just about the song?"

"Primarily, yes, but something else as well. Siv, I know you are in a different grade, but have you noticed anything odd about Dagmar's behavior at school?"

"A bit yeah" She says "Some of them are being extra respectful to her, guess the title is surprising them... and with nadeen unsained, she's the only noble at school"

Brekke sighs and nods. "What do you think of that?"

"Truth I didn't see as much as hear it, different classes . I don't think Dagmar would let it go to her head if that's what folks are worried about. She's just not the type to put on airs"

Jaymes frowns slightly "Not quite the problem."

"No. Siv, Dagmar has done a great deal of work to form these friendships, difficult work. Now the friendships are being threatened by the distance of rank. She is seeing the title almost as a curse."

"Shit," Siv says "I hadn't considered that... but now that I think about it, Lucia seemed to be avoiding her later in the day, or maybe Dagmar was avoiding her? And Eden was looking troubled. You think it's related? Dagmar's best lady friends outside the lodge are mortal, well, mortal and a garou? but still. But I can nose about a bit to see how other kithain are acting if it helps?"

"I think it would help, yes. I am asking your father to speak to Sylvi about addressing this with their fae classmates, but your eyes on the issue would be helpful as well. As for Eden...I think many pooka have difficulty with Gwydions. The lies and the Boon have a complicated interaction."

Siv nods "Okay, and if I see anyone treating Dagmar like she's some sacred cow I'll tell them they're not helping and she's still Dagmar, but I don't have as much social pull as some."

"Don't know Dagmar would value being openly defended. I think she values feeling strong and independent. Tricky."

"Agreed. Do not make a scene, but draw the person aside after."

"Better, lead by example, Siv. Treat her as you always have...and if you ever have the urge to make a light jest about her title, thinking it friendly banter, resist that urge."

"I can do that," Siv says firmly "She's my cousin and my friend."

"Thank you," Jaymes says to Siv.

"Thank you, Siv."

Brekke nods with satisfaction. Then she turns to Jaymes. "I will stop by later today and see if she is home to talk then. I would prefer not to make an appointment for her to dread."

"PShaw, nothing to thank.." Siv says "Duty like that is light for it helps one I care for. Let me know if I need to cancel my date to help more direct."

Frank nods at the wisdom of this.

"Before that date, is your homework done, Siv?"

Jaymes nods to the Chieftain "Yeah, that would be better for her I think. She's...she doesn't like things that feel like tests when she didn't know what is expected"

Siv starts to think about it then "Ah... mmmm MOST of it is done"

Brekke simply points back at the Lodge and gives Siv a look.

"ALL of it." Frank confirms.

A sigh, shoulders slump "Fine fine.... love you mom, dad. Don't worry, Uncle Jaymes, Dagmar will be okay. She's strong on the inside too and she's got us for back up." And back to the lodge to do the rest of 'most' so it becomes all

Jaymes watches the young woman go, "You've got a good daughter there, hiccups and all"

"Yes...I keep reminding myself of that fact." A slight wry gleam.

Jaymes nods "Well, thank you all a gain. I gotta get to the store. Let me know how the talk with Dagmar goes?"

"I will, Jaymes. Thank you for coming to me with this."

A grunt nod, and off he goes.
