Which seemed to startle the wilder

Sylvi grins. "Gerd's like that. When she's not trying to boss other people around, that is."

"Hey" Gerd sticks her tongue out at Sylvi

"Nyah," Sylvi mirrors her good-naturedly. Then she turns back to Dika-Hannah. "You hungry?"

"Well, yes, but your mother gave me a whole bunch of questions on what I lilke to eat...or want to try so I think she'll be making a nice dinner. I honestly wasn't sure what to say to her, the baron's cooks are good, but I'm mostly used to fish"

"Mom'll make a feast, you're not wrong. And don't worry about what to tell her or not...I mean, if you realize there's something you'd like, but you didn't say ahead of time, don't wait to tell her. Mom'd rather know. Hey, how long can you stay?"

"Soda?" she offers, rummaging around in the fridge and setting out some cookies for them to share.

"Couple of days, actually" she says "And thank you. Uhm, should I wear my hood? You know , so I don't scare or gross people out?"

"Well..." Sylvi puts out a couple of cans of soda and glasses, including one for Gerd. "I was going to ask, but thanks for bringing it up first. Um...maybe? But I don't want you to feel that way, like you have to hide... Gerd, what do you think?"

Gerd is looking at her feet "i don't want to be rude or hurt her feelings... but she's like the opposite of a sidhe"

Dika-Hanna actually covers a smile at that

Sylvi grins. "She knows, Gerd. But thanks for trying to be polite about it. So...you think yes to the hood?"

"Well, if she doesn't mind"

She turns to Dika-Hannah. "Maybe we should do that to start? And then once people get used to you...if they ask...?"

"I don't. I actually got one as a gift from the Baron. See, I wore my own, but he thought if I had to wear one I might as well get a nice one" She reaches into a bag and pulls out a pale green silk hood with exquisite stitching of liight gold threads. It looks like something a noble woman might have used to guard her hair but with the top part of the face covered (Save for eye slits)

"That's.. kind of cool" Gerd says

"Yes, thank you. It's really impractical for outside wear, but the baron said that I was a lady, and every girl should have something nice and impractical if she likes. The colors are kind of like House Gwydions, but lighter... to show he is honored to be my host."

Sylvi smiles. "Baron Idris is a really, really good person. He cares about people."

"Well, Snowy Joe and I look after the Baron some, because he can be a bit headstrong, but yes, I think he's a good chieftain." Dika-Hannah says

"I thought only trolls could be chieftains?" Gerd says confused

"I'm a Nunnehi, Native American fae?" Dika-Hanna reminds the girl "We used chiefs waaaay back. Well, some of us anyway"

"Hey, you're like an Emissary now, Dika-Hannah. I've shared some of what I learned, but now you can share more about Nunnehi, and then you can tell people back home about a Troll Lodge. Or at least, this Troll Lodge." She nibbles on a cookie. "So, we'll call that your Ambassadorial Hood, okay?"

She thinks. "I know at least one person who's going to insist on seeing under your hood, though. Maybe two. A redcap and a sluagh. The sluagh will be nicer about it, really curious...the redcap will probably try to make you feel crappy. Just brace yourself if he does...and let me know. I'll whomp him."

"I like that..." then a shrug at the mention of folks looking at her face "I'm used to it"

"How is Snowy Joe, anyway?"

"Ohhh...hey...how do you do with, um, prodigals?" Not sure if she'll know the term.

"Oh, he still can't decide if I'm the coolest girl or the most annoying one." Dika-Hannah actually seems a bit pleased by that. "And as usual, he's talking about how lame the Feudal system is, while still helping out as hard as those who claim to admire it. He's a good guy, but a cold mess"

Sylvi laughs. "That sounds about right."

"Besides...I think you kind of like him to be a cold mess." A wink.

She slides the plate of cookies over by way of invitation.

"Well... not like any normal guys will notice" She takes a cookie "Thank you." And bites "mm reaally thank you. THis is great"

Gerd takes one "Yup. our Hearth is the best. It's amazing Sylvi's not huge....side to side I mean. Her mom's a great cook, though don't tell Dagmar that because she'll say Tove is better"

Sylvi grins again at the Hearth Loyalty. "Mom is pretty amazing. So's Dad. You'll probably meet both of them, and everybody else, really, later at dinner." ((Go up about four posts to see question about prodigals.)

OOC: OOps BIC: "Prodigals?" Dika-Hannah says "A little. Why?" She seems a bit more guarded

"We have a shifter who's a friend of the Lodge. Um...is there anything I need to know about shifters and Pug'wi?"

BIC: "We're not on their menu if that's what you worry about. Is it a garou?" She says "or a Gurhl? Or a Ro.. no, wouldn't be one of those"

"I think the word's garou? She gets all wolfie."

"What's a Gurhl or the other one?"

"And I was mostly hoping it wasn't like you had a blood oath against shifters or something."

"Garou, we mostly know the Wendigo tribe... they're native, like us so..." A shrug "Couldn't name all the tribes. And.. Were-Bears"

"Ohhhhh. Got it."

"Were Bear?" Gerd says surprised

"There bear!" Dika - Hannah points behind the girl. who spins, then turns around and puts her hands on her hips

That makes Sylvi break out in laughter. "That is SO CORNY!"

"Okay okay, coudn't help it. Yes, Werebears are real and there are more than one type... based on the type of bear I guess. THe polar bear is a type and there are brown and black bears types...and..."

'Pandas? Are there were-Pandas?" Gerd bounces up on her heels

"That's...huh...So a person would go through this big transformation just to get lazy, sit around, and eat eucalyptus all day?"

"Pandas aren't bears" Dika-Hannah says apologetically "And if there are Were Pandas, and.." A smirk "I don't think they're are like Sylvi says... then.. I never heard of them so..."

Gerd looks huffy "Excuse me, please. I should go clean my room..." And tromps off
