School Day..ARGH!

The worst.

Well, maybe not...

Somethings are cool, her first period teacher called her "Samantha King" during the role.

Then corrected it 'Pardon, Sam King"

The briefest of smiles.

And the teacher didn't make a big deal of it, vocally, but she did give a nod that seemed to say 'congratulations'

and of course, her friend sure do... between classes. May is grinning "Sam King now. I mean, Larson is a nice name, but I think King is cooler"

Gonzalez nods "The only way it could be cooler is if it was in Spanish"

"What, Sam Rey? Dunno..."

"Well, ,maybe not" A tap

"Two first names, right?"

"May sounds boring now"

"Is not!"

"May is, like - hey, have you seen Agents fo Shield? May is a badass."

"And May is also, like, a super important month - you ever hear of Beltaine? It's this ancient festival that's all like 'shit yeah, May is here, winter is over!"

"Oh yeah, she is..." THen a shrug "never heard of Beltaine... only holiday in May that I know of is lilke mOther's day" May says "But now I wish I were an ancient pagan"

"You're okay the way you are, May" Gonzalez assures

She nods. "Perfect."

"Guys, you don't have to say stuff like that I'm.. less insecure than I was." Sheepish "Little less. Besides, right now it's time, the whole weekend"

"JUST the weekend, we don't want her getting a swelled head, you're both too tall as it is" Lupita jokes

"I think I might be taller now... Tove says I'm growing like a weed..."

"Amazon" May says crossing her wrists like bracers

A grin. "Yeah. Thanks."

'Well, I bet there are short amazons" Lupita says

May smiles looking tempted to poke fun, but she doesn't. She's just not got the mean in her.

"Sure! Stealth models - travel sized."

"Amazon Ninjas" May says straight faced.

Gonzalez ponders this "Ninja Amazons built for stealth... yeah.. okay"

"Need a theme song..."

"Da-nuh-NAHHHH"

"It would have to be a quiet theme song.. you know, ninja, unless you mean a theme song for the three of us?" Gonzalez says

"Like Charlie's Angels?" May says

"Please, we don't need a guy in a box telling us what to do" Lupita snorts

The day can't go fast enough.

But go it does, the school ends as it does, just like it were any other friday. But it's NOT any other friday

It's THE day

FINALLY.

She bolts from the school to Jaymes' waiting car.

Jaymes opens the door... "Hey. I almost forgot to park back"

"That's okay. You're always the best about it. Friends are jealous."

Sylvi calls after her as she leaves, "See you later for Big Doings!"

"YOu need a lift too, Sylvi ? We're heading straight to the lodge"

"Sure, if you don't mind."

She climbs in. "Everything went okay today, Dagmar?"
