Jaymes has to fight the urge to drive fast. But they get there in good time

Dagmar has insisted on taking over the radio, pluggin in Tove's phone to play music.

"Mom!" Sylvi calls. "Incoming! And it happened! Sam's a King now!"

Olgar tisks from behind his paper "That poor kid. Oh well. I hear some survive it"

"Daaaaad...don't be mean." Sylvi smiles at him.

Kerri brings out a few trays of homemade pizza, and then a few more.

Sister Sledge is blaring when the truck rolls in. 'We are family!' indeed.

Brekke is with Frank outside, and she nods with satisfaction at the banner.

Siv sings "let's hear it for the boy.. oh.. sorry... still thrilled about the flowers. I'll be good." A grin "We are family.."

"Dad, look - look, Frank made a banner..."

"Or Siv maybe..."

Jaymes shakes his head "my brother's a sap."

As the car pulls up, Brekke turns and grins, raising a hand in greeting. "Success?"

Tove elbows him. THen opens the truck door "Guess who this is?" Pointing towards Sam

Sam emerges, smiling but also purple.

Siv beams "Hey cuz."

Jaymes shakes hands. Tove does too, but then she throws in "Oh I better go help Kerri."

"It is a very important time for you, and I am glad it is starting well," Brekke says. "Come inside...there is food."

Frank bends and kisses Sam on the cheek, if allowed.

Surprisingly, she does. Is she... is she crying?

"Pizza's good. I like pizza."

Siv nods "pizza's great. " and acts like she doesn't see any tears, though she's looking misty eyed herself

As soon as they get inside, Sylvi pounces on Dagmar to give her a hug. "I know, you hate hugs, but this once I'm insisting. Congrats!"

Smiles and tears, and not quite sure what to do... "Oh, he was nice... "

"Just us and the judge, quick, I got to sign my name as a King..."

Meanwhile, Kerri comes over and rests a hand on Dagmar's shoulder. "I am so happy for you," she says with a warm smile.

"I wanted it to look right."

"Hey, getting the right K is important, trust me" Siv says

"So... so, I mean, tomorrow is gonna be fine, right? Because this... I feel really good about this right now..."

"Tomorrow -will- be fine. I've been practicing too." Frank assures her.

"Do we know who the Namer will be, or is it a secret?"

Frank nods.

"So... a sidhe?"

An eyebrow. "It would raise many questions if you were sained by a commoner."

"It would?" A frown. "I mean, I don't mind, just, you know, sidhe are... shiny."

Frank sighs and gets a coffee.

"...Do rocks eat hamburgers?"

Siv says "most namers are under sacred oaths not to reveal the true names of others to any but the person him or herself being named. It's a trust they dare not cross or else few would ever let them ply their craft, and the Count insists on honorable soothsayers and the like"

"That's good. Because Frank was saying that all kinds of bad stuff can happen if your name gets out..."

"People better start eating this pizza before it gets cold!" Kerri announces.

"Right" Siv says "First piece to my cousin the now Kinged"

Frank brings Brekke a cup of coffee, too.

Sylvi grins. "You should have told the judge, 'King me!'"

"Mmph-hmm!" Dag agrees, mouth full of cheesy bready pepperoni goodness.

Siv says "Now , the second is a coward and deserves its fate" She grabs it and bites

"Pizza is a perfect food. Why don't we just make everything a pizza?"

"Because then we'd have no more hotdogs like you want tomorrow" Jaymes says

He settles on the floor against the leg of her chair.... with a grunt.
