"Connor, come eat some pancakes," Kerri interrupts the floor scavenging.

"It is! I am going to save it for dessert, is that okay?"

He nods to her. "Dessert is the most important meal of the day. I learnt that in school. Did you know that the DeBuke's let you have TWO lunches? It must be what helps them all grow so big."

The dogs assume begging positions.

Sylvi settles at the table, then looks across it in surprise. "Zara? Wow...I wasn't expecting to see you here."

"Oak, Edel. Manners."

"Ah.. good morning, Sylvi." A nervous smile.

the dogs back up a bit. Browndog however is still newer and it takes Edelweiss pulling him back gently to get him the hint.

He moves to the table and starts inhaling pancakes. Did you know that if you skip putting syrup on, you can pick them up, fold them in half, and they fit mostly all right into your mouf?

Connor gets away with that once. "Knife and fork for the rest, Connor, please." says Kerri.

Vali comes in "Hey, pancakes" He clears his boots beore walking on the floor. //"I did them, Uncle Vali" Gerd beams//"You did? That's great"

"She did a fine job, too," Kerri announces on Gerd's behalf.

Zara hunkers down a bit lower over her plate.

A deeply exhaled huff, but he picks up the knife and fork. The fork goes into the butter to grab a pat, which them is applied directly into his mouth before he starts on the pancakes again, a little slower this time as he has to cut and pick up before shoveling.

Vali grins "Yeah? Proud of you, Gerd."//Gerd shoots a greatful look to the Hearth ,and enjoys the fruits of herl abor but makes sure a seat is there for her uncle.

Siv comes down and yes the crowd grows. "Sorry, had to beat my hair into shape"

"Did it bite back?" Sylvi teases.

He calls over to Siv, "Id wad a shab..." Pause, swallow. "It was a shape before too. Just not one I know the name of."

"A, a... a Sivlellogram."

Sylvi laughs at that.

"Good thing you're adorable, Connor" Siv says and says to Sylvi "Laugh it up. I've got a picture of your bad hair day somewhere"

Siv seeing Zara grins, "Glad you're still here. If it gets to crowded for you, you and I can take our food to the Kestrel fast. Oh I wish I could show you how s he is on the sea or in the air"

Zara sneaks in tiny bites of cold leftover eggs when nobody is looking, and dips her croissant in her tea before gumming at it.

"Never happen," Sylvi contends as she eats her own pancakes fairly rapidly. "Hey, why were you by the 'Fire? Something happen?"

Frank clears his throat.

"I would love to see the ship, aye, when there's a good time. You speak well of her."

Sylvi looks at the Mountain...is he asking for attention?

"I got shot" Siv says to Sylvi "It's okay. I'm healed up now."

A guilty look and she hides behind her tea.

Frank does not seem to be seeking attention, no.

Gerd says "You got shot, like with a GUN?"

"Long story, " siv says noticing Zara's guilty look, "Shoudln't have brought it up at the table. Sorry all. I'm fine. All's well that ended well"

Connor is glad to hog the attention away from Zara's dining habits. It's much more efficient if you just take a sip of the syrup to wash down the pancakes. No, he's not drinking from the pitcher (not this time) but has experimented with adding Syrup to his orange juice. He seems to be enjoying it.

A blink. "You...what?" Sylvi says. Kerri looks to Frank, checking on him.

Frank looks grimly resigned.

"Connor, that's not how you do the Syrup" Gerd says.

And she keeps Connor from making the syrup:OJ ratio too high.

Stoically eating pancakes.

"We got her birthday back?" Zara offers, as a whispery balm.

"it's true. Well, Deceember 17th entirely has been returned to Bergen, thanks to Zara's brains and my brawn" A grin

Sylvi looks puzzled for a moment, then introspective...then stares at Siv. "You got a car???"

Siv looks a BIt smug "Yup."

"Why not?" He twists his head to one side, curiously, to Gerd. "It's good." Then, suddenly distracted. "Car ride??"

She whirls to look at her mother. "Am I going to get a car when I'm 17?"

Vali grins "Which pile of snow is it under?"

"The yellow one."

Siv shoots Vali a look, then at the 'yellow one' looks appalled

"Oh, Connor." Kerri shakes her head, but grins just a bit.

Oh, shoot - Zara dissolves into a raspy, rattly noise - is she giggling?

And then adds to her daughter, "We'll see."
