"Mmm" he nods better

"I think Olgar's almost done, though." A reassuring grin.

"YUP..." Olgar says "And done. You were out hard, Rookie"

"Like a light."

He spits out the stick "What... did we win?"

Olgar rolls his eyes, "You're alive. Call that a win."

"Shit. THey got away"

"SOME got away" Olgar says

"ANd so did we... wasn't worth waiting for a second wave" Olgar says

"Nobody but you guys came out the trod, right? So Lodge is safe."

"It's okay, they wern't on the trod anyway...someone got lured off." Olgar says

"I thought she was in trouble..." Hastein says , but is embarrassed

"Is it really hard to tell a real trod from a fake one?"

"Depends on how strong your kenning is, partially" Olgar says "But there are signs. " A look at the younger wounded troll

"Yeah yeah, you never screwed up when you were young" Hastein grunts.

Olgar grins "Not once."

Grunts. "I got to go on a trod and I don't even remember the least little bit of it."

"And it gave you trouble I bet" Olgar sighs

'See, she COULD have been on trod" Hastein says "So I wasn't crazy to think it was really her"

"Dunno. Samhain is pretty fuzzy overall."

"Yeah, it is" Olgar observes then rises, "Hastein, you're staying here tonight unless the Chief, Mountain or HEarth says otherwise. Later On I'll explain to you all the things you did wrong, but....you're alive, and that's not nothing." He looks to Dagmar "Dagmar, thanks for the help."

She shrugs. "Just held the door. Hastien, do you want anything? I'm not as good as Kerri at coco."

"Just a soda maybe, thanks." Hastein says, then looks to olgar, "I want another shot at those guys." //"Get in line" Olgar observes

"Soda, sure... man, Fir Bholgs sound like a real good fight. You're lucky." She bounces off for the kitchen.

Hastein grins "I like her, she's a scrapper" He tells Olgar

"Yeah, gonna give us all ulcers once she's sained," Oglar grins.

A few sodas are in the kitchen, Rootbeer in greatest abundance, but some grape nehi and dr. pepper

COnsideration - she seems to recall Olgar likes grape. So. One of each!

"Thanks kid, you get something for yourself?" Olgar takes it when offered

"Yeah. Dr Pepper. Unless you want that? The other one is root beer." She claims a seat.

It's insidious!

"I'm fine with the grape" he sips

well, gulps

"I hate being weak" Hanstein sighs

Dagmar nods. "It's the worst."

"Good thing we're trolls."

"Heh" He manages and takes a sip of the drink offered, Hastein nods "You've got a good attitude "

"Well, I mean, don't you like being basically a superhero?"

"A superhero? Not sure I see myself that way... " Hastein shrugs ignoring the twinge of pain

"Well, lots of different kinds. Not all of them are, like, big blue boy scouts. Some are antiheroes."

"Might be closer to there" He admits. "Hey, do me afavor? My coat? Top pocket...you want to reach in there and get something for me?"

"Sure..." She reaches across to snag his coat.

When she reaches in, she pulls out a clasp with a sun design on it. Purely chimerical, it shines in her hands.

A grin. "Ain't that fancy?"

"Yeah, one of the things was trying to break it... decided to stop him"

Olgar sighs "RIght...may have been about to snap it like dross. Still left yourself open to get to him"

She turns it over in her hands. "You think it's Varich?"

"You got me," Hanstein shrug

"If you want it," he adds, "You can have it. I just didnt' want it to power whatever spell he was working"
