A soft hiccup, and she does - sports and fits of what transpired, as many details as she can summon.

He nods "huh. Okay. PRetty sure the chief will insist she shuts that thing off when she's in the lodge...and if she doesn't, I might" A firm nod

He shakes his head before she can answer, "I would not. No, she can't 'take you ' from me. I will not let her do that"

"She can't hurt Symon."

"I have an idea about that if need be" Jaymes tells her, "That sword, I mean"

She nods. "Yeah?" The teen seems to have cried herself out, but is content to keep sitting beside Jaymes for now.

"yeah, but I don't want to tell you because it might be too soon for you to act" A pause "Promise not to use it right away?"

"Not OATH promise...just, tell me you'll try not to jump right to it?"

A conflicted look, her throat and gut tensing up. "Is it gonna hurt her?"

"Okay, you can't lay a glove o nher , some oath, but maybe, just maybe, if she hurts Symon, there's nothing to stop you from grabbing the sword while it's still in its scabbard and chucking that thing like a lawn dart?"

A soft nod then a smile slips "yup."

A smile, "me too. Oh, uhm.." He clears his throat, "I should let her ask but...she said I could mention it. It will probably be sometime next year. Do ..do you want to be a bride's maid?"
