"Hey..easy Two bit I..oh fine" A pet, big man taking orders from the little dog. He scoops her up, walks in to see Tove as well, "Hey, it's some of my favorite ladies. "

Tove 's smile mirrors Dagmar''s own

A laugh. "Okay. Well, favorite guy." She gets him a glass of water.

"Uhm.. Jaymes" Tove says between sips "I.. have news"

"Yeah" He takes the water, "Thanks, Dagmar"

"Good news." She helpfully chimes.

"My music really took off," She says "Folks are loving me from far away as Europe!" Tove is excited.

Jaymes however, slows in his drinking of the water as if he's just been told something he didn't want to hear, "oh. I..that's great" he doesn't fake smiles well

"She's getting internet money, right?"

"Internet?" His eyes widen, and this time ..relief "Oh than.. I mean, yes, of course, the internet. That's great" Jaymes means it

Tove stares at him, first because e of his lack of genuine happiness for her, then confusion at the shift, "yes, the internet. I've a channel and folks order online"

"You aren't gonna go off to, like, Norway without us, right?"

"Well, of COURSE not," Tove says

"heh..yeah, of course not" He doesn't quite 'whew' but....yes, reassured

Tove stares at him, then laughs "You thought I was going abroad to perform?" Then instead of laughter, her eyes grow quite large and soft

but she's smiling more than ever now.

"I uhm… you have a right to do what you want with your life.. I respect that.. " Then a cough "But yes, I didnb't want to say good bye to you."

Dagmar harrumphs. "She BETTER not."

"Well, look at you two," She sets her drink down and puts arms about them both to give a double half hug "If I were to tour it would be during the summer so the three of us might have time to be together on the road. No I'm sticking around or at least only traveling to towns nearby. I care too much to stay away. "

"We should go on an adventure this summer. I'd be sained!"

"That would be grand," Tove shoots Jaymes the look that grown women know how to give to a fellow when they want something and hope he'll not be stubborn about it. Dagmar isn't always up on this social stuff but she is starting to see how Jaymes and Tove operate. Just because he looks stoic doesn't mean Tove doesn't wear him down.

Jaymes simply says "We'll see. Maybe."

"Maybe the boat? Or the Dreaming?"

"Maybe." Jaymes repeats.

Tove gives Dagmar a wink as if to say they'll move that maybe to a sure in time.

A siiiiiigh.

"You two are plotting already I can tell" Jaymes says, then looks to Tove "So, hope the sales did well"

"Got 900 dollars" She says

"This month? Nice" he says "Great start"

"Uhm.. this week." She sayss

"Wow, that's almost a thousand dollars..."

Jaymes blinks "In a week when you just started? I mean, recently?"

"An author of the Silverhand books made a recommendation, next thing I knew fans were checking me out and..there you go." Tove beams.

"Oh, May reads those..."

"Find out when her birthday is," Jaymes suggest "We'll get Vali to autograph it... just don't tell her that the school's French teacher is one of her favorite writers. Pen names are handy. " He looks a bit stunned still by the amount.

"...Vali?"

"you didn't know?" Jaymes says "Yeah, he's Wayne Burton, writer of the Silverhand books"

"Nobody told me that. I haven't read them yet."

"They're pretty good," Tove says "but I wasn't crazy about the cover art on the first two books"

"Well, covers aren't always great for figuring out the book."

"True, hence the old saying about not judging books by covers" Tove agrees she gives Jaymes an odd look, "You okay?"

"Dandy" he says "I ah... I'm fine. I'm happy for you"

She looks between the two of them, a faint frown. "Do we not have enough money?"

"Of course we do," Tove says "We do don't we? because if we need more..."

She looks up at Jaymes with a stubborn look

"No no, we're fine .Tove. I know that look. You have your dad to look after" Jaymes says firmly, "You use it for him and YOU. Okay?"

"I'll use it for who and what I like" A jaw set on her pretty face

"Shouldn't you get money for me?"
