He moves over and holds out a hand curiously, a silent request to look at the bat.

"That cat was stuck up in a tree when I did patrol last month."

"And I just got that nocker on Baker St. to stop chopping trees down with his Buzzomatic."

"Okay, so...let's worry about cats and trees and stuff later. Look...we all need to talk." A glance to Dagmar...it looks like Dirk is in on this whether she likes it or not.

He hands the bat over, "Oh for... you know if someone had told me this fief had tree rulez,..."But then notices the request to talk "Bout what?"

"It doesn't have tree rules."

"I just didn't want him setting loose a machine that wants to cut down everything."

"Anyway..." She glances at the Lodge, then says, "Come on, let's sit on the far side of the ring at least." There are a couple of benches and a picnic table there, anyway.

He has to take the bat with both hands, arms drooping a bit as he gets a grip on it, and examines for a long moment before he gives Dirk a grin and a salute. “Well, damn. Not half bad. You know what you made, right?”

It would probably spike someone in the head.

"Thanks." Dirik grins

Siv is heading as Sylvi directed, "Come on guys. And , well, not Symon, but everyone needs to keep it down mmm?"

Siv looks under the table to make suree Gerd or Connor aren't there

He hands the bat back over as they are heading to the table, and pulls out his phone. “I had to think for a minute, but I knew I’d seen one like it. Medieval history, extra credit project last year. It’s spot on for a medieval German Morningstar. See, look...” a few taps, and he shows Dirk the picture... and anyone else who leans to peek.

"Well, cool. The Germans know destruction... they start all the best wars"

"That'll mess somebody up..."

“I bet you could get a cap shod for it, and more spikes... maybe even in shop class, if you said it was for a history assignment....” then he sighs, and shakes his head. “...no, I guess not. These days they’re all zero tolerance on weapons. Even for education...” a grimace.

Sylvi settles, a subtle look back at the Lodge to make sure no adults are peeking. Well, her mom is doing something in the kitchen, but that's normal, and she's still mostly focusing on Sylvi's dad right now. "Okay, so...Dagmar and Siv have been talking about us taking on Bug Guy."

"Capshod, like the sound of that" Dirk says "Bug Guy? "

"He's a sluagh..."

(Connor is nowhere in sight. Wasn’t he yipping something about a sleepover earlier today, over at the DeBuke farm? Maybe that’s where Gerd is, too. Or... perhaps not?)

Symon is silent, arms crossed and looking uncomfortable.

Siv says "A sluagh who seems to be able to summon or make monster chimerical bugs"

"And he wants Dagmar dead" She says

"Don't know why, though.."

Sylvi looks at Symon. "That's part of why I wanted you in on this. I know sluagh do a lot of networking...maybe you know somebody who knows somebody...?"

"Maybe you shoved him?" Dirk says with a look

She snorts. "Fuck off, Dirk."

"Cut it, you guys."

"Not you" Dirk starts to retort then shuts his teeth with a snap when Sylvi tells them to cut it

He is quiet for a long moment. “Lots of slugs like bugs. I’ve even heard that some can talk to them, know what they saw.... it’s a great way to spy. But being able to summon or control them... that’s something new. I guess... I could ask around, if anyone knows anyone who can do that... or find out how it’s done...”

Dag scowls.

He looks gloomy, but then sits up a little, and allows, “if he’s breaking the escheat, I might get somewhere. Yeah.” A bit cryptic.

Siv says "Okayokay, let's focus on ..how do we handle multiple Chimera? We need a way to take those out of the equation if a fight starts with him."

“Rabbits have good hearing. Can you put yours on guard?”

"yes she can" A voice speks up from a bush

"Yeah?" to Symon, then a nod. "It might help. Cuz...this guy is part of how the Fir Bholg got access to the trods, at least that's what Dad thinks. And..."

And Floppsy comes out, ears first

A jump and turn at the voice, her blade in her hand.

"He tried to kill Tove. Tried to kill Olgar..."

Then she slumps. "Flopsy, don't DO that."

Whisker twitch. "oops?"

She puts her blade away and scoops him up, giving him a noogie between the ears.

"Anyway...yeah, Flopsy can guard. I mean, I'm pretty sure he has been already, right?" She checks with the chimera.

"Like, it's a crime if you try to kill someone, even if you fail..."

"Yes, yes, but ...is this plan wise?"

"The Fir Bholg tried to kill Dad. The Bug Guy only helped him get access. That's not as much of a crime." She doesn't seem happy about that, though.

"Well, it's not really a full plan yet...." Sylvi admits.
