"Ew, yeah. And you ATE one."

"Leeks are fine." Frank offers. "Grilled onions, too."

"Wel, I were only being sociable. It wasn't that bad, not something I'd want every day mind you. Oh lord, I do miss this though" as she takes another savoring of the food Kerri has prepared, then grins at her dad's defense of leeks.

"So you inherited weird tastebuds, gotcha."

"Frank," Olgar's voice says "Sorry to do this to you, but we had a patrol?"

Frank scowls. "Did we?" he glances at Brekke.

Brekke nods to Frank. "Go. I need to clean up my gear."

Dagmar sips her ice-cold carbonated beverage with a sigh. "Dr. Pepper, I missed you most..."

"I don't have dad's weird tastebuds. I said they weren't that bad, dad LIKES em"

Then siv laughs at dr. Pepper and Dagmar getting reuinted, "It's the unhealthy things" Nodding

Kerri nods. "I don't prepare them often. It's hard to get all the grit out of them."

Frank takes a deep breath, finishes his plate, and stands. "Right." He looks at Brekke a moment, and then nods to himself. Then he puts a hand on Siv's head, and nods to the other ladies.

Olgar makes like he's looking at his watch, which he is not wearing

Brekke lifts her coffee mug, also glad to be reunited with her beverage of choice.

"Coming, Olgar." He says without looking.

Siv blushes "Da, you'll muss up my perfect coif" her hair came down a bit of a mess actually so she's joking

"I'll save you both some pie." Kerri grins to the departing men, and then finishes going to the kitchen...returning with two bumbleberry pies.

"Chop Chop, Lambchop" Oglar says then gives his wife a leer "I always love your pie, babe. Later"

"You, Fishie, need a bath." fondly, and then to Brekke, "I will see you later." something promissory in his tone before heading to the door to pull on his boots and depart.

Brekke watches as Frank goes.

"Oh, I may have missed pie most..."

Siv looks "I washed my face and from the wrists to fingers... oh fine "

He does glance back once before shutting the door. And is gone on patrol.

Olgar takes lead. If he feels any guilt for reminding a Seelie of his 'duty' over passion, he's not saying so and it doesn't seem like it.

Once Olgar and Frank are gone, Siv looks at her mom "Why do Da and Olgar rib each other like that? Olgar don't even give a proper hello so much as 'come on, lambchop' and da's all 'grumble growl' but they work together and I think like each other, don't they?"

Brekke gives Kerri a look, then back to Siv. "Your father and Olgar did not get along well at all for many years. What you see now is their grudging respect and understanding of each other."

Kerri grins. "Very grudging, at first."

"Did they have to share a tent together for two weeks or something?" a smirk

"Because of court, right?"

"Fourteen days!!!"

A chuckle from Brekke. "They had to share a Lodge for...many years."

Kerri amends, "They didn't have to...but..."

Brekke finishes, "...but Olgar chose to stay around for his own reasons." A grin to the Hearth.

Siv smiles at Kerri, "hooked him, reeled him in, and pretty much cleaned him too I think"

Then to Dagmar. "Court was part of it, certainly."

Kerri glances from Siv to Brekke and back. "Not exactly how I'd put it." But she's grinning.

The wilder girl finishes up with her plate, "I'll get this in the kitchen, oh it was so good to eat Hearth food again, thank you Hearth Kerri" SHe rises to take it to the kitchen

"But not far off," Brekke mutters, sipping her coffee.

"Thank you, Siv." Kerri nods.

Sigh. "Other dishes? Now I know we're home... I can fix up a plate for Jaymes, yeah?"

As Siv vanishes into the kitchen, something is pinging- as all the texts that couldn't reach her in the catskills come in on her phone nearby

"Please do, Dagmar," Kerri nods.

Brekke gives the cellphone a distasteful glance.

Dagmar prepares a rather generous plate to set aside, stealing a steak-tip in the process.

It would appear Siv's 'guy' friends are sending comments . Probably such intelligent things as 'sup?'

"Plates?" Dagmar goes around to collect things for washing, making a stack.

Kerri sighs at the phone as well. "Daughters."

"Oh, yes. Thanks, Dagmar." The Hearth may be a bit surprised, but hides it well.

The door opens from outside, and in comes Sally Mae looking quite happy

She takes the plates off to wash.
