Jaymes is given TWO pieces of chicken...

"Oh sure, hon. Now that I know those three I can narrow it down. " a chuckle "I might at that. Here, let me hand you back to Dagmar"

"Sit, sit..." A little shooing gesture.

"Okay! I can practically smell it from here...."

"So, that's us Sylvi... maybe we can talk later this week? You owe me pictures, for sure."

"You bet." Then more quietly, "She's sitting down to eat?"

Jaymes is sitting down and then stops, stands and pulls out the chair for Tove, which surprises her, and then she nods and seems to mull it over before she gives him just a bit of a smile and a thank you

"Yeah. we're all gonna sit down to eat in a sec. There's chicken."

"It smells nice" Jaymes says. Cautiously, as if mulling over a grill that might have a gas leak, not the food, but Tove.

"Cool! Go, eat with them! Happy family and stuff. Big hugs, Dagmar! I'll talk to you soon."

"Yeah, soon! Bye Sylvi!"

And who the hell is Wiliford? Jaymes wonders before biting into his drumstick and, he chews.

Oh sweet Odin, why am I holding my breath and not just eating myself? And yet Tove watches him carefully

And Sylvi hangs up.

She hangs the phone up and trudges over to join the other two. "Looks great, Tove."

Jaymes is about to tell Dagmar to sit down but, actually, no, more chewing. Williford is a perfect gentleman? What kind of man goes by Wiliford? Some sly huckster maybe? Chew, and..

Tove turns and smiles at Dagmar "Thank you, hopefully it tastes good too." There. Surely he can't miss that clue can he? He's got thirty seconds to say 'something' or I hit him with a wing

"Yeah? Jaymes, how is it?" She sits and picks up her piece.

"Oh, it's.. it's delicious" He says meaning it, "It's moist AND spicy..."

"Cool." She chomps on hers, tearing into it like a hungry wolf.

Tove feels triumphant and smiles thinking _Oh I have turned into an idiot. _ "I'm glad you think so, Jaymes. I...made a mistake on the first one back when"

Jaymes looks at her, "You weren't the only one." He meets her gaze, before lowering his eyes and then goes back to eating.

Tove enjoys her own food and seems quite pleased by ,well everything "It's a beautiful house, you two. "

She makes quick work of her food. And sides. "Can I have seconds?"

"Jaymes said you did the carving! It's cool. Did you d the bed?"

"Of course, I brought plenty" Tove nods "oh, I did some of the carving, some of that beautiful work on the doorframes, that's all the Chieftain." A smile "We both worked on the bed. Hope we got it right. It was a fun challenge"

"Well, it's all amazing" Jaymes says

"Totally right. Like, superhero viking." She leans over to snag a drumstick. Table manners are not her strongpoint, especially without Kerri's gentle guidance.

Jaymes notices that, "Now let's use our lodge manners, we have a guest?" he says to Dagmar

"Mmph?" Eyebrows lift, mouth too full of food to respond.

"Just ask someone to pass things," Tove says gently "Like Kerri would like?"

Invoking the name of she who all respect in dining matters

"Can't totally blame her though" Jaymes says "The food is really that good."

She swallows, and nods. "Kay."

Tove eyes him as if seeing if he's just trying to make cheap points but then I'm not sure the man knows enough to even try. Okay. Back to pleased "Thank you. I really shouldn't eat too much. I did have food before."

"Oh yeah, with WIlliford the bland gentleman" Jaymes says nodding

"He wasn't bland, the food was. I mean, it was almost flavorless. He was a gent." SHe says "Quite the polite and attentive escort."

"He's British" She adds

"Oh yeah, bad teeth, no wonder he likes bland food" Jaymes says. For some reason he doesn't like williford.

"Hmph."

"his teeth are..that's an outdated sterotype" SHe rolls her eyes, then turns to Dagmar "Don't listen to that, Dagmar, it's not true. His teeth are fine."

While Tove is looking away, Jaymes takes his fingers and makes a 'warthog tusks' gesture with his fingers so Dag can see it

"Well, he sounds boring."

Tove is shocked, 'Well he's not. He's..." She tries to think of the best words and , despite her skaldic training has trouble thinking of which to use "He's exotic and...cerebral and polite. You'd really probably like him if got to know him"

Jaymes tries to change the subject "So any news on Sylvi's end?"

"She fought chimera!"

Jaymes stares "How do you girls keep FINDING them? Well, I know how you do, but Sylvi too?"

Tove tries not to laugh "I think that must be what her parents are asking"

"They find me, totally."

"that's true" Jaymes admits, then tells Tove "Oh, you should see the entertainment center. I didn't want anything fancy but Vali pointed out some decent deals...." He starts to explain
