"hmm I can only hope me own Da passes out." She grins, and whispers "I have some gear"

"Gear?" Kerri grins quietly. "Oh, now I kind of half-hope he does, too!"

Siv crosses her fingers

Symon slumps against a wall, scowling towards the offending cart and gifts.

At some point during the evening, Brekke begins singing some of the sea chanties from the trip on the Kestrel...songs Tove and Torald would know well, and Siv would have heard since birth.

Frank joins in.

.... and later performs his Kestrel-wide famous "Swims a little Fishie" song.

The sluagh’s toes tap lightly to the beat despite himself- though if anyone notices, he stops and let’s his hair fall over his features again.

Though, the tapping starts up again- damnable catchy tune.

That one make Brekke smile with nostalgia.

Sylvi catches sight of Symon near the cart, and nods to Colton to join her as she goes to talk to the sluagh. "Hey...can we join you?"

Siv winces and groans during the Fishie song

And oh, Frank does sing it DIRECTLY to Siv.

Siv's wince and groan only make Brekke chuckle more.

He eyes the trolls. “It’s your lodge...”

Colton says 'Not mine"

"You live in the barony, so in that sense it's your lodge, too." She settles cross-legged on the ground. "You had something to eat?"

Tove takes a break and looks about, slight sadness on her face for a moment.

Kerri catches Tove's look, and murmurs to her, "I think he went inside...should I try to get him to come out?"

"No" A light blush "Dagmar should come first. Just... something will havee to wait"

"It's a Troll place, though." A small shrug of narrow shoulders. "If there was a basement or a cavern or something, I'd be lurking there, but slugs aren't really around these parts. ...Just me."

"Well...if you're sure. But I'll check on him in a few minutes, regardless."

Tove looks torn, "I ..should fiinish this drinnk and snack and gget back to singing"

Sylvi says to Symon, "You mean, you're feeling out of place. Yeah...I mean, there are caves and root holes in the woods...but they're not really in the middle of the party.

"Not unless we start digging" Colton nods

Sylvi grins at Colton. "That sounds more like a Pranksgiving thing, and the Chieftain wouldn't like it much."

A small smirk. "Normally I'd say it might be a good idea to have hideaways underground - but with the flooding around here, probably more trouble than it's worth.

She notes the smirk. "You sure it's just the lack of hiding places?"

"There's plenty of places to hide, if you're not overgrown."

Kerri looks at Tove, and says, "Tell you what..." She prepares two quick small plates of food, and hands them to Tove. "Bring them something to eat."

A pause, and he relucantly adds, "Sorry. Not trying to be rude. What's with Dags?"

Sylvi sighs. "I dunno. She got upset at the quilt...but Symon, it's a really nice quilt."

He lightly kicks the cart, rattling the wire. "I know Ann Marie is lame, but didn't think she'd be that upset about it. I should have ditched it in the river. Thought about it..."

Tove nods, "I'll.. do that. " Girding herself

"I'm glad you didn't," Sylvi says. "You know...she got weird when I suggested she could decorate her room with Thor posters, too. So...I don't think it's the quilt."

"Good," Kerri nods with a smile.

"Maybe she just wants to pick her own decor. I bet she's never had the chance - because it's never really been HER room."

"who wouldn't want to decorate their room with thor posters? Well hero posters?" CColton says

"Maybe? I mean...I get that." She thinks, and shrugs. "Maybe she secretly likes Loki more? I don't know. Symon...maybe you should give the quilt to Jaymes? It doesn't have to be something she accepts for her room, you know? And...oh, you know, she's been with us a while so I kind of forgot it, but she used to not accept anything she couldn't pay for or work for. Maybe it's that?"

"I already told her it was for her. She's not dumb." Thoughtfully eyeing the cart. "The stereo can be his, though. That was from my dad, last year. I don't think even Ann Marie would be daft enough to give me a stereo." A soft shake of his head.

"Well, something's bothering her bad, and that's bothering Jaymes, and that's bothering Tove I think, thoughy why it would bother tove I don't know " olton shrugs

"She's not dumb...but she might change her mind. And if you bring it home, Ann Marie would be upset, right? I guess...I guess my mom could hold onto the quilt?"

"Oh, Tove and Jaymes are totally into each other," she says to Colton. "Can't you tell?"

"Gotta be careful about putting up stuff like that. Or anything, really. People see it, and you're in for a lifetime of that stuff. Knew a kid who had a ceramic Snoopy on a shelf, from his Nan? Other relatives saw it, and decided the kid loved Snoopy. Now he gets Snoopy clothes, cards, everything, and can't seem to convince anyone he doesn't give a - a flip about that dog."

"They are?" Clearly he missed that

"Pretty sure," she nods to Colton. Then to Symon, "Yeah, that true. But still...it's a really, really nice quilt."

Colton realizes that explains a lot

"Maybe I can go drop it off at the barn with this other stuff, if it's making her upset. By tomorrow she might not be so... whatever about it."

Outside, Kerri (who has had a very busy day of prep) is leaning against her husband's shoulder, pleasantly drowsy.

Frank makes the rounds with the coffee pot.
