As the dance is coming to its conclusion, there's a palpable increase in glamour, but slow, in the early evening light. Finally, breathless and out of ribbons, the dancers must find their partners to tie a bow. "Kiss your partner, and thank him or her for the dance!" Kerri cries as Tove's music comes to an end. "And applause for the musician!"

Meanwhile, the dance continues, and Colton lays a kiss on Sylvi

Chicken for the dog, chicken for the cat.... she can pretend nothing else is going on.

Well, at least until her nose smells the smoke of a hamburger turning into a briquette... "Shit!" Chicken is dropped to the grass, and she hastily goes to rescue the meat.

Sylvi kisses Colton back, dizzy and breathless.

"Thank you for the dance" Colton remembers..yes, wordy things

"Thank you...it was fun." Sylvi manages.

Hasty plating of several Very Well Done hamburgers.

Brekke and Frank exchange a kiss that the entire party can hear when they part, then both laugh happily.

Kelly takes Siv's hand and kisses it. Siv looks at the hand, "Uhm, thanks I..."Only to get dipped and given a real kiss, both a tangle of ribbon. The pooka's wings spread wide to shield them from the world.

When Siv comes up, she has a goofy happy grin, "Well that's bloody more like it..." A BIt louder than she intended.

Kelly blushes, "I'm shy...thanks." And slips away

"All right...before we send the littler ones to bed, a race to get to a prize!" Kerri announces. And the youngest ones are each given an older coach (Sylvi gets called over to coach Gerd), "You need to listen to your coach in order to get to the prize...and the prize is..." Kerri takes the cover off an large slice of delicious looking cake. "But first..." The girls are blindfolded.

Gerd might be feeling a bit confident...she's played this game before.

Gerd smiles.

She breaks from rescuing burger to rescuing the chicken carcass from Oak and Lovecraft... "No, no, no bones..."

Oak sighs and behaves.

Lovecraft wasn't eating the bones, but arranging them ...looks like a Y

Sadly, there were not enoguh bones to spell 'You're next' to wandering two leggers

After the blindfolds are on, Kerri quietly reveals that there's actually cake for each child, set up in different parts of the ring. "All right...coaches, tell your competitors where to go!"

And the air is suddenly punctuated with shouts of "Left! More left! No, too much left, to back." The blindfolded childlings bumble around, trying to follow the directions, and the crowd laughs.

Grass-speckled chicken carcass, burnt burgers, plate and all are dumped in the trash.

Gerd tries a quicksilver cantrip to get hteir faster...and nearly slams into a fence

A slender hand slips in and snags one of the burger briquettes. "Just how I like them. Is that dancing over with?" Having ventured back down again once the maypole seemed accomplished, though the squealing of the childlings seems to grate on his ears.

The surrounding wilders and grumps are there to buffer in case of just such emergencies...or Gerd-encies.

Surprise breaching her fog of misery. "Oh. Symon. I don't know. They're doing things, I don't know. what."

Vali groans, "Gerd, if you can't see, fast doesn't help"

"El-Cee didn't give you the message, eh." A scowl towards the cat pawing at the bones, but it is without true rancor. "They'll have a fire soon, then start sneaking off to snog in the corners." Wrinkled nose. "Can get you a ride home, if you want out of here." Tongue flicks out to lick the scorched edge of the burger, coming back black with char.

"I wanna go, yeah... "

Frank wanders over to the grill to check on it.

Abandoned and bare. The spatula is missing. Bits of chicken and one burger briquette litter the grass.

Siv walks over to Dagmar and Symon, taking ribbons off, "how goes guys?" It would appear Kelly..kissed and ran? She's not sure how she fels about that

A half-shrug to Siv. "Heard you were locked up. They let you out for the party?"

She flushes purple. "Hi Siv."

"Well, the party is on the grounds," She says, "Dagmar, you okay? you got really quiet there and didn't seem to want to take part in your first Beltaine?"

There's a clunking of logs further out, or at least, it sounds like it.

"It's pretty late. I should go."

"Caber Toss... non trolls may feel there's a bias here, there totally is " Olgar calls out

"I heard there would be games." A shake of his head towards the children. "Not that. Real stuff, with prizes." And at Olgar's yell, he sighs. "Nevermind. Troll games."

"I think that's the one where they chuck telephone poles at each other." A hand rubs at the alternate arm, pencil-thin and devoid of any hint of muscle.

Frank glances up at the sound of the flying logs, looks down at his hands and flexes them.... ends up wandering over to Siv.
