Tiffany takes her tools out, and begins humming the theme to the old Mission Impossible TV show , careful, chimerical gears and doodads are revealed as she takes the 'top' of the stone of, and yes, little TNT like things inside. Neat. It grows dim. Then Tiffany mutters "8 Ball, Side pocket." And FLICKS the now dead 'mine' into the others, then yells "Fire in the ..."

Despite precautions, Zara flinches and grimaces, baring toothless black gums.

Earl does indeed step in front of her as if acting as a wall of flesh against the noise itself. Whether that helps or not, only Zara could say...but oooouccch

Silver Ash and stone dust floats down, a few gears rain from the heavens, but none of them are hurt.

Tiffany is actually wagging furiously, some part of her liked this. She takes the muffs off, "The satyrs think they got music, but they can't match my 1812 overture. Ready ?"

August rolls away from the blast, then climbs to his feet.

She gingerly pulls her hands away from her ears, squinting.

"Tiffany...." He coughs.... "Thank you. I am in your debt."

"Ha. Please. I thought the Dreaming of all places my skills would be like the air conditioner for sale in the Northwest territory, but we got bombs here? Oh sweet mystery of strife at last I've found you"

Magnus is picking up a fallen gear and putting it into his pocket for study later.

An approving nod at Magnus' tactic, and one she copies.

And now, Tiffany moves forward, pulling August to take lead again, "Up and atom, atom ant"

Earl looks at Zara, whispering "Got any theories? I mean, explosives that work in the dreaming?'

"Nockers, mayhaps - but also could be goblins. Goblins are very good at destructive things."

"Goodpoint." Earl says

"Chemical reactions, in this place... they don't work like they do in the mundane. But you don't need to be a nocker for alchemy... it helps, and they keep the knowledge close."

August nods, taking the warning to heart.

She straightens, an odd expression crossing her face.

August brushes himself off, then pauses. "Wander."

"August?"

BIC: Everyone continues, understandably a bit more on guard

"I'm sorry everyone... I just remembered. The Rover said to -wander- to where the laughter lingers. Were we... was I too direct? Did it... blow up in my, our faces?"

Tiffany stops and looks at him, "I don't know how to say that you're out of your mind if you think that was your fault"

"We're fine, August. Nobody was hurt, nu?"

August looks soberly at Tiffany. "Actually, that was very well done."

He glances at Zara. "You're sure?"

"Aye. Let's walk. Enjoy it."

"Enjoy it. Ok." And he sets out again, trying to.

They move along, and come to a fork in the trod, and by that I do not mean there's an eating utensal. While both sides have some sunlight, to the left path there is a light rain. to the right, sunnier, brighter.

Magnus raises a brow, "Interesting. this wasn't in the directions."

"No." August scowls, cheated. "It wasn't."

"Tiffany?"

Tiffany looks at the ground, "Well, guess they're all out of baddadddaboom pucks. My nose only picks up mint.""

Sluagh are not easilly fooled by illusions, and while there may be no bombs on the 'sunny' path, she realizes this is..false silver. Meant to look like a trod. it is not! The rainy side is legit.

A soft hiss. "We have a foe, I think."

August draw his golden blade.

"Lies. The sun deceives." Zara starts for the rainy pathway.

Earl repeats what she says if any had trouble hearing, but it's clear etiher way the pale sluagh wants to move on towards the rain.

Magnus says "One can be chance, two coincidence maybe. We get a third and I'll start to think someone doesn't like us."

August nods and takes the lead again with a smile to Zara as he passes her. "Thank you."

As they enter the rain, they find out its, not very cold at all, it sparkles as it lands on the true silver, it dapples and beats on the ground in thick but surprisingly soft drops. And, it sings? Yes, it sings...

"You are more optimistic than I, Magnus. Be watchful, I expect more traps." Another little frown, and she rubs a spot at the base of her throat. "Ones that look welcoming, safe."
