Movie Night II

Sparrow follows Cora's lead - kicking off her sandals in an out-of-the-way spot before settling down on the plushly carpeted floor. She sets her plate on the coffee table to eat.

"Okay, how about the Last Unicorn first... I like it, but I like Princess Bride more so ending with the best is wise?"

He hangs back a moment, then shuffles forward and gets a plate of food, which means others have a chance to take a seat before he finds a spot.

"Sure!" Coradel's decided to try these things called chopsticks...she's reading the packet instructions while Magnus puts the movie in.

"Works for me. Unicorns!" Her wings flare a bit, and a smile escapes.

She frowns and fiddles with them a few times.

"Hmm...this is...not something to learn while trying to watch a movie, I think." She sets the chopsticks aside easily.

He glances over, and his troubled expression lightens briefly before he looks away and pushes the food around on his plate.

Has his own food ready, but starts the movie only once August is seated, and makes sure at least one spot available for August to sit near Chloe if he can. "Ready when you are now I guess." And he handles his food with the chopsticks easily.

August sits on the other side of the coffee table from Deryn.

"Oh, red stuff is good. Try the red stuff." Apparently, general tso's.

"Mm! Mm-hm!" A mouth-full agreement with Sparrow.

If she has any opinion about August's choice of seats, she's not showing it.

And the movie starts! Hunters in a wood! Young doubt , Old wisdom... the Unicorn the last? Impossible.

And music.... music, and graceful, flowing art.... Sparrow is transfixed.

The movie manages to coax a faint, fond smile out of the troubled Liam.

Magnus fights the urge to sing along. Others have not seen this, at least Chloe hasn't.

She watches, captivated by the flow of the artwork and animation.

He does dart glances over, watching her watch the film.

"Oh, she can't be the last!"

"Is that a pooka? I think the butterfly is a pooka."

That makes him look over at Deryn, with a small grin.

"I would not be surprised," He smiles at his Arcadian sister

"If it's a pooka, then she's definitely not the last unicorn, right?"

"Ah, but it's the hunters who say she's the last not pooka."

"I think..." Then hushes, and watches, nibbling on her food.

"eerr butterlfy."

Shushes as well

"I like the music... oh, I should paint a unicorn..."

Walking Man's Road... Magnus hums along with the melancholy song of a mystic creature forced to walk heavy mortal paths

"You should..." Coradel softly echoes Sparrow.

_And the Unicorn is captured! Mommy Fortuna! Schmendrik pretends not to see! _

"Men can't see unicorns. Or us...."

A slight smile at something. Sometimes it's more fun to watch those who haven't watched a movie, how they react, than it is to watch just the movie if you've seen it

She frowns, watching, absorbed by the plot.

August might agree with Magnus on that; he is surreptitiously keeping an eye on the ladies.... with maybe a slight bias.

_False horns, Real harpy. Schmendrick is with you. Failed spells, successful pickpocket! _

Sparrow lets out several soft exclamations - the harpy, the wizard, the witch....

She shares many of Sparrow's reactions, watching....

"we're about to meet a lady I swear is a boggan."

His troubled mood eases gradually, watching the ladies. He's still pushing the food around, but he does take a couple sips of his drink.

"Oh, really?" Coradel's amused and watches for the character.

"No... a Dreamer. Broken dreams.... oh, poor lady..."
