After seeing the scene again, he yields to Sparrow's estimation

"Ohh..." Sad on Molly's behalf.

"You tell her, Molly." A firm nod. "And tell him, too."

A flicker of a glance at August, then back to the movie.

He's moving food around, glancing at the screen.

Her eyes widen, horrified.

Magnus wonders if the two arcdian sidhe appreciate this on some level the two changeling way younger types cannot.

Eyes wide at the transformation...intent.

He drops his eyes to his plate.

Then a look of stubborn anger.

He glances over, then back to the screen, soberly.

"She'll forget."

Very concerned, and absolutely invested...

And then a glance at Deryn, and a small smile.

Coradel slowly sets her plate aside on the coffee table, leaning forward to watch, her fingers folded together and pressed against her lips.

"Poor bastard," Magnus says with sympathy for the Prince.

Coradel's movement brings his glance back to her, for a moment, then he looks back to the screen.

The Wine drinks itself ! They find the way, the clock! The skeleton cries out! "Unicorn! UNICORN!" Amalthea doesn't want to continue. Let her marry, let her be human! But Lir loves her too much to let her and knows "The happy ending cannot come in the middle of the story" Grue wonders what if there is no happy ending. Schemdriik says there are no happy endings because nothing ever does. They continue... and go to face the red bull . And this time, the Redbull is not fooled! "And the crap hits the fan." Magnus mutters.

"Oh...." hands covering her mouth, wings mantled above her shoulders as she leans forward to watch.

A frown at Schmendrick's philosophy...and then an eager look as they find the red bull again. "They must defeat him...."

"Only she can do that" Magnus says, "And she's scared"

That angry, stubborn look again.

She presses a hand against her stomach when the Unicorn faces the Bull, feathers flattened.

"Good riddance to selfish rubbish" Magnus can't help but say as Haggard meets his doom.

His food takes another turn around the plate.

She watches Lir's death with sad respect...and nods satisfaction at the destruction of the Red Bull...and a further satisfied grin at Haggard's downfall.

By now Magnus has emptied his plate and would get seconds but doesn't want to miss the epilogue

"Oh, how sad. Oh, that's very sad. But... oh, I need to paint a unicorn..."

He glances at Deryn with a grin, a happy expression.

She looks at Sparrow with a smile that's both pleased and sympathetic.

She sings softly along with the reprise, knowing the song now...

Coradel presses her lips together, thinking....

August looks down at his plate.

"What do you all think?" Magnus asks seeing that some are touched.

A deep breath that comes out with a bit of a shudder...and she looks at Magnus. "I can see why you appreciate it. That was powerful."

"It... yes. I liked it."

He nods at his plate, agreeing with the consensus.

"It reminds me..." A pause. "I met another artist whose work was at the same gallery as Earl DeBuke's. And her work...it's very like this. Sadness that makes the beauty of it that much sweeter."

"Thank you. Claire thinks she should have either stayed human , over thrown haggard, kept Lir, and ruled her kingdom, or had Schemndrick turn Lir into a Unicorn too"

"No. It had to be this way."

He glances up at Deryn with a small, thankful smile.

"That's what I tell her, and she grumphs at me all sullen like"

"Hmmm..." She's considering these alternate endings. "Have I mentioned that I like Claire?" Grinning at Magnus.

"It wouldn't be beautiful if it weren't sad."

A sigh, not disagreeing.
