"I'll remember that." To Sparrow, with a grin.

"Inconceivable!"

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

"Ha!"

To tthe Pain! "My name is Inigo Montoya, you killed my father, prepare to die!" "Stop saying that!"

When Inigo finally gets his revenge, it is so perfectly done that Coradel beams with satisfaction. "Exactly."

"Ooof..."

"Yeah, great delivery."

"Inigo is my favorite."

August shuffles a little, hunkering down.

"Aw."

As the music plays, "Less Meloncholy enough for you, Coradel?"

August, mostly unseen, seems... content.

A wing extends, covering August's shoulders.

"Oh, that's...Perfect, Magnus. Well-chosen."

And she looks over at the movement of Sparrow's wing...to look at August.

August rolls to his feet and heads back over to the popcorn, cleaning up.

He glances fondly at Deryn as he does.

"I am not sure I have a favorite character" Magnus admits, "They're all so delightful."

"Also true! Humperdink-humperdink-humperdink!"

She's not quite listening to Magnus as she watches August, but nods vaguely.

A laugh.

"May I have a moment of your time?" He asks softly and politely of the group as he moves to the 'center'(ish) of the three.

Some surprise...but she nods, watching him. "Of course." Her voice is quiet.

"What's up?" A quizzical lift of her wings.

((Assuming Magnus doesn't object?))

"I would like to offer my sincere apologies to you all, and especially Magnus and Coradel, for my loss of temper last weekend. It was wrong because it is not the best that I can be. I owe it to you all to -be- that best, and I failed. In the future, I will use the techniques I have learned to moderate my ire. I will keep an open mind, and be still so I can listen. I will make every effort to maintain my temper so I can better serve you all. Will you forgive me?"

Magnus of course quieted down, and now that he's asked, he says "Well, I don't know. You haven't cleaned out the Aegean Stables yet."

He makes eye contact with each, and especially Magnus and Coradel as he speaks.

Contact with Magnus might end in an eye roll.

She frowns at Magnus, then looks back at August...then looks down. "That was not entirely your fault, August. It cannot be easy to manage one's ire when faced with...well...I was not exactly calm." She looks up at him again. "I forgive you for that...and I hope you forgive me for my part of it. But...there are still things we must discuss together."

He nods, agreeing. "As... yes."

A flicker of a grin at the interrupted phrase.

Sober as a priest.

"I suppose it is a bit much to expect everyone to be completely trusting of an Ailil. I appreciate you all trying to get to know Claire. I think she'll win you over."

More serious now, of course

August tears his attention away to nod agreement (or something) with Magnus.

She looks to Sparrow and Magnus. "I think...that I will need to monopolize August for a discussion. Please allow us this. Let me show you your room, Deryn -- Magnus, you're still in the same one as before. And please feel free to make use of the house. But...he and I need to talk."

"Ah... sure?" A little flicker, slightly lost.

August nods to Deryn, and offers a small smile.

"Of course," He says, "Thank you," Rising and heading to his room.

"Glad you liked the films." To Deryn.

"Thank you for the movies, Magnus. And I hope you all remembered your bathing suits...there's a pool, and we can swim in the morning. Deryn, let me show you the room. August, I'll be back in a few."

"Oh, right - swimming! How exciting!"

August... waits where he is.

Coradel leads Deryn upstairs (Magnus is likely just a few paces ahead) and down a longish hall with several doors leading to rooms. She brings Deryn to a guest room that's got a tasteful colonial decor...a large bed, desk and chair, dresser. It's perfectly lovely...but utterly without personal character, clearly designed by some interior decorated hired by Chloe's mother. "The bathroom is that door there. And like I said, you're not a prisoner here or anything...feel free to explore if you like."

"Thanks, Coradel. It's... very tasteful."
