So... DH is still down with whatever he's got. Could be food poisoning, could be stomach flu... unclear. Didn't test for Covid but I will ask him about it; we have the tests.

Now Thing2 has reported something that is probably (90% sure?) head lice. SO.

Thing2 is in his room for the duration. Thing1 is getting a shower and going to bed. BOTH have been reminded of the importance OF KEEPING THEMSELVES AND THEIR THINGS CLEAN.

Yup. Time to change ALL the sheets, towels, etc.

Second thing tomorrow (first is coffee) I'm off to get three sets of treatment kits and all of us with hair get to do that/have that done.

THEN we clean everything in hot water, etc. etc.

Makes me think of when we were battling bed bugs.

WHILE DH is still sick. And I should be working. And Thing1 was going to be at the VA volunteering but I told him he -can't- go till this is done....

Can you afford to get the treatment done professionally? I know some hairdressers set aside time to handle lice situations.

If it isn't too expensive, it might save you a lot of stress

That's phase 2, I guess. I can get the kits fast tomorrow and get that done and get shit in the laundry and get shit disinfected around the place.

IF, after following the kit's directions, we still have issues that will ALSO give me time to call hairdressers and find someone and set appointments.

I'm going to cross my fingers and toes. Maybe it isn't actually lice at all.
