hey guys, thanks for the thank yous. i also needed to update the dice roller bot, it uses an old method of signing in to slack that they’re going to turn off at some point. in rewriting it i made some small changes. /roll will just do World of Darkness-style success checks now, so use /coin to filp a coin and /dice for regular rpg 3d6+2-type rolls. to get /roll to use exploding 10s, either put “explode” at the end (like /roll 10 6 explode), or use /roll! (like /roll! 10 6).

(if you’re feeling lazy you don’t have to type out the whole word “explode”, just “e” or “exp” or whatever will work.)

i’ll swap the new version in this afternoon and let you know.

i also wanted to ask how you guys wanted the DM archives to work. my instinct is to make them accessible only to the people involved. (which means you’ll need to log in to the archive site to see them, but i’ve been meaning to do that anyway. you probably don’t need the whole world reading <#C3RN8V19S|> anyway, not to mention the LLM bots).

but if no one objects i could just make all DMs visible as long as you’re signed in.

I think they should be private. I don't remember but I probably plugged all sorts of shit into my private scratchpad, and there is also DM/Player and DM/DM and probably just personal chatter between people
