One of my housemates is going nuts. Her brother had a septic leg, she had to push push push for her mom to take her brother who refused to go. He got sicker, sicker, and sicker... then finally went and yep, would have died or lost the leg.

Well, there are complications, and here it is AGAIN... her mom is frantic and in denial about.. everything. Her brother won't go again. And the Doctors are calling about her brother's liver in dire straits. My friend is explaining this is SERIOUS and he could possibly DIE

And being fussed at for saying 'horrible things'. So if it DOES go badly her mother will likely blame her.

It has been two weeks of stress and frustration across state and my friend's going to have to drive 500 miles to help with paperwork and bueracracy because her mother can't or won't, and her brother won't listen to the doctors

That’s terrible. Sorry that your housemate has to go through that to advocate for her brother

I shouldn't bad mouth but her mom pisses me off. Her daughter got college degrees... and her mother doesn't know understand why she left for elsewhere when there was a factory job (at the time) nearby.

She doesn't CARE that her daughter worked to get that education. She's not impressed. She thinks her daughter should have stayed in that same town all her life near her so they could both take care of her grown ass brothers until she got a husband to take care of as well.

It's infuriating.

waves! Checking in briefly before bed. I was catching up and trying to remember where I knew the name Rathbone from. Holy Crap! Yeah, I was not expecting her to emerge on the scene once more.

Today was a lot of heavy work in camp, then seared tuna for dinner and then board games. I won my first ever game of Parcheesi!
