Yup. Started looking at a) how much pension I'll get if I retire early, b) how much our house is worth, and c) house prices in Nova Scotia.

I'm still open to moving to Australia.

I mean... we put up some wee decorations but I'm not sure America deserves a birthday this year.....

We're going to grill hamburgers. That might be the extent of the revelries.

I'm grilling burgers and chicken legs (been in a marinade for a week!), picnic salads (cole slaw, mac salad, potato salad), corn on the cob, watermelon cubes, apple pie and vanilla ice cream.

I can also serve hot dogs if needed.

We're having hamburgers and potato chips. Ice cream, yes, but we have ice cream most nights in the summer.

I've never done a good job of cooking ribs. I love when Aranek cooks them in camp at Pennsic.

To be fair, I am spoiled by a housemate who is a great cook

And I'd feel bad about that, but as I am often banished from the kitchen when I try my hand, they brought it on themselves 😛

Ha! You suffer so, having such a resource to rely on.

Terence and I are both adequate cooks, but we're practical -- we want it done and tasty so we can eat. We don't have patience for gourmet details.

I fear pumpkin time may be approaching for me. CrossFit kicked my butt again today (even though I took it easy on myself).

I skipped my walk today due to letting my knee rest and I wore my brace all day. Tomorrow I might take a wee walk, see how it feels. Ice it up after. And I should do some stretching.
