Tired = cranky and picky about food.... but so does teething.

See, he grabs a perfectly good spoonful of something, and it's en route to mouth

then he turns his head to look at somethign, but does not know to alter the original trajectory

I'v tried removing the distractions, but he knows that they were there.
So if there are no cats, he cranes around like mad looking for the kitties

Rae, believe me, you are 100% doing what every other parent does. Food is problematic, and goes everywhere. Eye-hand coordination is still developing. He's curious. He is GOING to wear dinner; you're going to bathe him after. Just like every other parent since the beginning of time.
