We maybe getting a dog sooner than we thought

It happens that way sometimes.

Well, once more it will not be a dog of our choosing and that bums me a bit. A friend of a friend is in a divorce. She moved to a place without dogs allowed after her ex said he would watch the dog . She moves. He changes his mind and tells her to pick her up. So it's either to to the shelter or someone helps her.

Not likely. By then we'll fall in love with the dog. I am worried about the dog's age, not sure how old she is, but I really just don't want to watch another one die in the next year. On the other hand, it is a Blue Heeler (Australian Cattle Dog)/Corgi mix, so maybe too much energy for us. Still, even just an 'okay' house is better for a dog than a shelter

So you see, I'm conflicted and letting brainweasels loose on this one 😉

It does suck to lose a dog.

I should see this as a gift and be positive.
