We took the Gerbil on a second vet visit. They're surprised he's alive, but keeping him going on anti biotics for another two weeks

My entire English department is eyeing our new assistant principal with vague antipathy.

Perhaps not so vague.

She's one of those new admins we get every other year or so, the kind who has researched a little bit about our state test scores and decides they can come in and Save Us. Because obviously we don't know how to teach.

She's already done an observation on one of our veteran teachers (who regularly gets scored as Effective or Highly Effective) and scored her as Developing.

So...that's the current drama, employment-wise.

Has she tried 'saving the day' by winning a lottery and buying new school equipment/books/etc and raising pay? They never seem to try that one 😉

She keeps trying to tell us about these groundbreaking techniques (that I was learning back in 1997).

Actually, what we really need is reading teachers at the high school. That would make a HUGE difference.

That "Developing" eval sounds like a grievance to me
