Yeah. He's older now and getting married next month. He's the one I mentioned before as being squired to a Count. Well, during court he got called to vigil for knighthood. He'll be knighted at an event the week before his wedding.

A very Big Deal in the SCA culture.

Beyond that, though, not a lot of stories. I was exhausted all the time and my feet hurt a lot, so I didn't even get to many classes. I did learn some book binding, so that was nice. There was bad weather and camp drama, but we've had worse.

Traditionally, a peer of the order will speak up at Court. "Your Majesties! I (full name and title) come before your court to beg a boon!"

Then, they will speak praise of "this person" who has done Deeds

and it is a lot of fun to see it DAWN on said person's face that they are the subject of said boon

now, often, a peer will speak for a dependent, so sometimes the vigilant figures it out quick - but, apparently, Angharad had NO clue Calum was going for HER
