I'm thinking of making Flower excel at shapeshifting.

And making Richelle one of the more ruthless and effective manifestors/blasters just because the poor girl DESERVES the chance to get people to shut the bleep up. But warding might work for that too in a 'Your magic is stupid, I deny"

Mesmerism is that 'oh dear, this is problematic' magic. Over riding the wills of others etc. It is used on commoners distubingly freely though. For example, Battle Wizards fill their peasant troop support with feelings of courage to hold morale
