The whole circle of magic series was inspired by Tamora Pierce seeing a craftsman friend's work and thinking That's Real Magic

So One of them is a seamstress, another ends up with smithing magic, and another has a green thumb for herbs and plants, and there's one with Weather Control... okay, I guess that last one isn't a craft 😉 But stil

Definitely! OH the teachers in the book are quite a trio themselves. One, Lark, is very gentle and sweet and kerri like. The other, Rosethorn is more abrasive but has her softer side

It's one of the author's early works so may not measure up to the Lioness books
