Well, my friend, she was missing Pixie, our poodle who died a half year ago? So she is tempted to get another dog. SHE would be fine with a senior, but I and other housemates are more selfish and are asking not that old... Canine grief I don't need. Sorry. So we are browsing for Dogs in the area that are young to adult (Friend doesn't want a puppy as they get homes fast) , good with dogs and cats. But it won't likely happen till January at earliest if she insists.

With everything going on, might be nice to have an addition to look forward to.

Maybe wait until after the holidays.

what's funny is the house has opinions about dogs. We're 'helping' by committee 😉 So one friend and I are like 'no seniors, please, because heart break'... others are 'no beagles, we had a beagle, they're so.. beagly', I'm like 'Preferably not too large or athletic, we ain't spring chickens'.. also we have a doggie door, would be nice if the poor thing can fit. Opinions vary about shedding levels etc.

Funny thing? We'd love any dog despite our fussing

I wonder if it's going to be one of those situations where the dog finds you.

Honestly? I figure if my friend meets more than one dog at the same time, like a shelter or something? She'll sit down and likely fall in love with the first dog to put his/her head in her lap and leave it there happily. I could be wrong

i think she might like one, but they do tend to be extreme to one side or ther other. Met Cockers that were dumb as rocks (Still sweet) and smart as a whip

Holly's got a great smile. I noticed that first. Then they said 'oh she's also got a daughter' and decided to put them together.. and my friend was already 'oooo'

Only confusing thing is who ever entered the data did a funny thing. It says 'good with cats, good with other dogs' it also says 'prefers no other animals'

So I'm like 'the hell?"

MIght wanna get clarity on that.
