best parts of the last 24 are 1) car started this morning, no need to two and 2) I brought a folding camp table that fits JUST perfect at the waiting room chair and I have a lil comfy office set up to work in at the Firestone.

THAT was the big stress of the morning. I made the Firestone appt and then tested the car to see if I needed to call a tow or not. THEN I got dressed and got to Firestone early and they took me. Already tested the battery, ordered the new one. When it arrives they'll drop it in and see how the alternator reacts. The battery may have corrupted the alternator or vice versa OR a false 'bad' reading on the alernator might be the fault of the bad battery. So. We'll see. Meanwhile I'm tucked in safe and sound and well with food and shopping nearby so....
