It VERY MUCH reminds me of Les Mis

Because it's sung through and dramatic, yup

Sweeney is one of my favorite musicals

That, and also the dark tone, and seeing parallels Cosette/Johanna

I can see it.

I miss the Ballad of Sweeney Todd in the film, and wish Depp was a bit stronger vocally, but I do largely like it

I enjoy Burton's aesthetic, and Rickman is fantastic

And Mrs. Lovette's unrequited (I assume, so far) love for Todd, reminds me of Eponine

I'm looking forward to Wednesday on Netflix
