So, just to share a cute story if I have not yet.....
Jewel has, while I have been hope, become accustomed to having my bedroom window blinds opened during the day. To the point where she noses the door open, trots on in, plunks her butt on her bed, and glances over her shoulder at me, then stares at the closed blinds. She will repeat, and even boop the blinds with her nose until someone opens them. And then her show is on, and she happily parks her nose between two of the blinds which lets her eyes have a clear view outside.
