See, this bit of politics I would see differently! (Not that anyone asked me 😄 ) The Sluagh SHOULD be the ones who take the Varich down, as the wronged party. It's IMPORTANT for commoners to rebel when pushed too far for too long. It teaches other Nobles a valuable lesson in why they must rule just and well.

Now, the Countess stepping in and issuing a pennon to take over? With the plan to put sluagh in charge? THAT could be seen as a hostile takeover from one who wishes to spread her own kith's rule over more of the county.

But this is bone-deep kind of stuff. Sluagh are mistrusted, sluagh are seen as "other," sluagh are on the fringes. Varich are sidhe, and titled, and powerful - they are OPEN with their scorn and hatred for the sluagh, but are they alone?

Where as Nadeeen would suggest it just needs to go to a NICER varich, one that gets repeatedly denied a hold by troll chieftains who do not GET her. oh wait... she might be too close to this one 🙂
