the premise sounds great, but this review:

The protagonist is a whiny idiot whose insecurities render her worthless. The two sidekicks have to drag her kicking and screaming through this preposterous story. While most women find their strength and their voice with age the protagonist is a namby-pamby quitter that snivles her way through this lame tale. The basic scenario of the book where the Morrigan - Goddess of War - chooses such a wretched creature as her avatar (the only one who can save the world!!) is ridiculous. Also, the author casts great aspersions on women who are over 60 years old, and I would like to advise the author that her assumptions about the physical prowess and overall worth of women over 60 is misogynistic, for most of us are nothing at all like her weak, and stupid protagonist. Of course it could be that the author has found herself such a position at age 60 in which case I feel sorry for her, and would encourage her to read some self help books and go to the gym.
