Another student wrote, for the same assignment, how parents working late --> ordering Dominos pizza --> eating pizza and noticing bad taste, but brother ate the whole thing --> brother has food poisoning --> brother stops ordering pizza --> brother learns to cook. Which seems like a really simple essay, but effective cause-and-effect. The thing is, she knocked it out of the park by utilizing strong narrative and descriptive elements to support the cause/effect experience. And I mean real gross-out details. It was BEAUTIFUL!
