I touched on the subject a few times before I said enough to get his attention and make him perk up. He really wanted to bull through his list of questions as written.

Yeah, the "subtle hint" approach doesn't seem to be effective.

I wasn't -trying- to be subtle as much as what I was telling him wasn't in his notes and expectations of what he was going to hear so he -didn't- hear it. BUT. I got through. So now I have a supercool sticker.
