AdelaideĀ Ironbrow-Ā Ā Adelaide is all bubbles and smiles, a true charmer even at age 9. She’s the perfect little lady, with wavy brown hair in old school Sandra bullock bangs over green eyes. Of course, her surname, gained so young, is also the clue to her fate.Ā When Connecicut fell to commoners, it was not a peaceful uprising against one Gwydion idiot. More than one hold fell that day, and a few violently attacked. Adelaide will never forget the feel of coldĀ ironĀ pressed against her forehead, leaving a mark that doesn’t seem to want to go away. It can’t mar her looks, not really, but she’s extremely self-conscious about it. While no dummy, her focus is in social skills. Use manners, make older fae smile or even laugh, inspire and direct by example.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā She knows not all commoners are bad, and hopes that if she can master social skills she can make them see that she really wants to rule fairly and well. Yet, some part of her heart also knows that revenge is a grown up’s game, and she’s quite willing to spend her childling years marking the cards of the deck she’s been dealt. When she finds the commoner who killed her former mentor and branded her like a cow, she wants to make sure he gets the losing hand he deserves.
Ā
Wesley -Poor Wesley, bad enough he has frizzy red hair, an abundance of freckles, and thick glasses, a combination that confuses the Dreaming (Are boys allowed to have red hair?); he’s also been sained with incredibly punchable name Wesely. The bookworm Eiluned hopes to be a great sorcerer one day, and he’s certainly in the right House for it. He’s also meant to be a Count though, and that means he’s going to have to interact with people. Some of whom are incredibly stupid and tedious.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Couldn’t he study instead? Books don’t give him nearly as much grief. Then again, it remains to be seen if books will spare him the humiliating fate his own former hold had when a swordswinger defeated the former count who treated him as ward. Many changes abounded, including a 10 year old looking for a new home. He loves magic, surely the sword doesn’t win every time? It would truly suck if it did.
Nelson Ravenheart-Ā Nelson is ¼ Cherokee, one secret he gives freely to all that ask. Beyond that, the preciouses 8 year old is ā€˜terribly mysterious’, or tries to be. He never walks when he can sneak, and there’s no doubt that he has his own theme music playing when he does so. A handsome lad, his native American looks make him exotic even compared to most sidhe. His raven black hair spills down his back (And he resents it if anyone says it makes him look like a girl) and his dark eyes have piercing gaze of devil may care. A brave boy, he’s always prying into things, and is very unlikely to fight his curious nature unless it will get him or someone he cares for hurt. While agile and a physical lad, he values cunning over brawn, for that’s how the wily rogue wins the day. No, he’s not an Eshu, why do people keep asking him that?
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Nelson is a good kid, but suffers from the Eiluned duality of feeling little guilt of snooping on others, while keeping his own secrets to himself. He often cites ā€œthat’s on a need to know basis, and you don’t need to knowā€ which much to his annoyance doesn’t seem to work on adults like it does in the movies.Ā While he will never admit it, Nelson blames himself greatly for not seeing the down fall of his former mentor’s hold coming. He’s Eiluned, they keep the secrets. So it was his job to find out before it happened, right? Right?
