Funnily enough Cat, I think Symon is the opposite. He understands the chief, and can trust her to behave according to a set rulebook - she's reliable, and predictable. Kerri, on the otherhand, is more of an unknown element, she has secrets and depths that many overlook, and he feels that she would be more willing to go to underhanded tactics or extremes if her family or folk were threatened. She's more dangerous that way.
