If you don’t mind working with someone in a foreign land who may have a very real communication issue, or a cheap local won’t follow up, provide alternate format layouts, edit it for letterhead and the other uses you know you’ll need, provide alternate versions with color variations for use on light and dark backgrounds....

You get what you pay for is very alive and true

But it is ALSO true that a good artist or designer is much harder to come by that a nerd who can handle the formatting

arts is underpaid!

We do a lot of outsourcing and have often returned to the really nice design lady in Argentina who can do amazing ideas even if we have to do the editing
