My coach lives near a elementary school, and was walking with his 2.5 year old past there the other day, and a guy standing out front was all, "Psst. Hey. Hey, you here for the groceries?"
"Huh?"
"You know, for your kid!" Who is very clearly not yet of school age.
Now, the thing is that all of the Chicago elementaries are giving away grocery bags to the families, many of which have kids that may only get that meal or not much else during the day.
BUT! this is a rather affluent school, as it happens, and most of the family did not bother to get their alloted snack bags. So there are tons of extra sitting by.
So now young Zelda knows him and shrieks in delight "GROCERY MAN!" and he insists on giving them many bags of extra snacks - tons of apples, oranges, celery, and yes, cartons of milk and CHOCCY MILK
