Chicago getting crazy. Late twenty-something woo girl went out against instructions, partied with friends all St Pats weekend, and then tested positive for Corona. And has asthma. But she made a full recovery so she won't even fuckin' learn

CTA (public transit) bus driver also just tested positive, so... pretty much everyone on that entire route exposed for who knows how long

Scary times. It just really sank in for me that businesses are going to close. I had already known that with the temporary closures that many folk will lose jobs, but it finally hit me that these small businesses are still having to pay rent, and all it may take is a couple months without income before they just won't open back up again.

We now have official stay at home notices. I did go to the store today, but my smoke detector died so I felt it worthwhile. And the planters and seeds I also bought at home depot at the same time will help my sanity.

A local landlord is trying to demand rent from his tenants, despite the fact that a) landlords in NY are getting some kind of assistance, b) mortgage payments are being put on hold by the banks, and c) all his tenants are unable to go to work.
