He told Gerd he wouldn't beg.. but no one has asked him to. She said all he had to do was ask. he seemed to decide asking=begging. So apparently common manners=begging and when she pointed this out, he decided it meant "no one" cares.

It's like he gets to be a dick to everyone, but heaven forbid they don't bend over backwards for him.

I am trying to play Adam as a privileged white prince who has had the world of his dreams shown to him, and then restrictions put on it.... limits on a limitless world. Not ALL of the restrictions from the trolls, true, but....

It -seems- to him that where he offered an open, helping, eager hand, he's been told "No, Down, Bad."

It -is- a cumulative effect. I know that. For Adam, it feels more like a snowflake to avalanche.

Well he's coming across as having a charisma of one.

FWIW, he's TRYING to be 'good'. Chief told him "Keep your mouth shut and don't embarrass us." and he plans to do that.

Yet he makes constant passive agressive accusations

He's trying to be patient, and if he complains they don't know or trust him yet......

Well he gets invited to Pennons. but nothing has changed as far he's concerned. Gerd shows an interest in what he's learned, she's a bitch if she expects manners. He doesn't seem to recognize or respect when he makes progress, he'd rather pretend everyone's out to get him.

Oh, he is happy about Pennons but... .the social issues about not being able to talk to anyone are stressing him.
What Gerd suggested seemed unlikely, and he doubted. She got on his case for that. (as far as he saw)
He's not pretending. He honestly sees insult. The 'insulter' might not realize they've offered him such, but that is what -he- sees.
Not saying anyone is right or wrong. Perspectives. I -totally- see how the RV crew (need logo and name!) see it.

That's why she took the sarcasm pretty lightly. T he begging part had her wondering Zane or Dagmar had become a jerk, and then when he redefined begging as including asking? Well.. shit. His loss. If he wants folks to kiss his as for the 'honor' of sharing what they know, she has better things to do.
