Oh you know, I can understand some guys eyerolling, but even if you think it's cheesy or catering, well, first of all, there's a LOT of catering in a superhero movie, easter eggs and things some ask for is part of the point! Second, girlpower is not automatically man hating. Particuarly in that movie. Pepper is not a violent woman, she goes to war. why? Because she loves Tony and their child. Black Widow gave up everything for her family, which was mostly the guys. It seemed to me at least half those women had some guy they cared about ..and like Eowyn said, they have a right to fight to protect who and what they love. Others in that what, 20 seconds of estrogen fueled awesome moment had other heroic reasons, but you know what I didn't see? the guys being inept or worthless while it was happening.
