This thing I'm recording. It's 60% sentence fragments, and multiple characters, and I was told I didn't have to "do voices" but then the narration describes what the characters' voices sound like, so I kind of have to "do voices" and then the narration is vague so I can't always tell who's talking and....rolls eyes I need to charge more.

If you were mislead its reasonable to call them up and go 'hey?'

Yeahhhhhh...but this is a contract client, and I'm not in a secure position for renegotiation as I'm already behind deadline. I should go back to doing short jobs. Answering service menus and the like.

I should love doing books....but it's exhausting, and the pay isn't as good.

Oh...she turned someone's Birthday celebration into a reason to be pissy, as she didn't have a card ready or the like... but I mentioned it was held later than the actual date when she thought it was. she was told when bu t claims she wasn't ... and her daughter and son in law are like "we mentioned that" and she's insistent they didn't to her...and I'm pretty sure they did but I let it slide for a bit

Then she passive aggressively THANKS me for 'telling her' (Ie others didnt)

And I say "Well, you're welcome, but I think folks did mention it..."

and she goes "Well, of course you always stick together"

Oy.

I nearly leapt out of my chair.

It shouldn't have bugged me, but she just reduced me to an appendege and ccalled me a liar all in one shot

Y'know...here's my question: how exactly does she "refuse" an aide? If an aide is hired, then...what? She doesn't let the person in her house? Or would she just fuss and fuss about it, but have the person come in and do the work anyway? I mean, if somebody's going to have to take her abuse, might as well be somebody who's getting paid to do so, and save the family relationship (what there is of it).
