Not-so-strictly - I'd like Derynwydd to grow and develop. Has she applied for JC scholarships? A job? JobS? KC scholarships? Internships? What has she done to make things happen? Structure it and roll some dice, say I.

She has a work study job

She does some mural work

she tends to do very poorly in retail/service jobs

But then, she also tends to.. ah.. shoot low?

She doesn't try for "office" jobs

Nothing wrong with that. She's got some college credits. Applied to galleries, museums, such?

And working fast food, or hotel desk, or at macy's... she gets more attention and grabby hands than she can deal well with

She hasn't

Yeah, no, those aren't good jobs for her.

I think there are avenues you can take so move her forward. Say she applied to other scholarships, figure out the diff and roll. Ditto jobs, internships, so on. You have the power of dice! I suck at it.

And I think Deryn tends to be avoidant

But if you let her sit, and don't chance it, then that's what will happen. She'll sit.

Her avoidance is one reason I offered to do something IC on this.

I'm saying she likely hasn't done a lot to solve next year

instead, she quietly burrows down and panics when AUgust isn't at home

And she's "fine" and she's "busy" and she has Ladybird to go do service work...

And, oh, isn't it nice that Jeanette and Ludmilla are a couple now?

And so, yeah. I'm stuck.

Then so is August.

This question is why I say, structure some difficulty, number the dice, and roll some shit. *nod* A scholarship comes through somewhere, with a stipend! A different workstudy! A JOB in a gallery!

I don't think it solves the problem, and I don't know how to articulate the problem

Bird has been sort of broken for me for probably a year now, and I don't know how to fix it

I can make suggestions but ultimately, hon, it's up to you. Maybe a quest in the Deep Dreaming again? Take a break?

And the less I play her, the harder it is to "find" her

She feels lonely, and I know she "shouldn't"

Should/shouldn't does not, I think, apply.

Isn't the corollary that the MORE you play her the MORE you'll find her?
