I just finished reading Injustice: Gods Among Us and as someone who's never been a big DC fan (outside of Batman, obv.), I thought it was VERY good.

Hawkeye is a lot of fun. The movies don't give him justice, a lot of his snark was stolen by movie stark

very street level, as a non-comics regular, I really enjoyed the run

apparently he was deafened back in the 80s?

Yup! Did a heroic play to stop himself from behind mind controlled, only one ear I think but later it got worse or something... I admit my lore tapers off for some periods

Oh, and thanks to Hawkeye, a little boy agreed to wear his hearing aid

Yeah, it seems like Hawkeye selectively forgets to be deaf sometimes

I did see one where some Govt agent was talking about procedures and things and he quite deliberately pulled his hearing aid out and said "Continue"

And at some point he got magic starktech hearing aids that just fixed things
