I bought one of the DVDs of "40 YEARS OF AVENGERS" (and xmen, and spiderman) back in the day when they sold those

(That's how they say hello in Vlonklandia.)

And I just uploaded the Avengers stuff to share with a friend, so I have it online for a short period until I need the cloud storage space again 🙂

Also rather enjoyed the West Coast Avengers , poor Hawkeye "We're not going to be the B team.... dammit, are we the B team? Well, screw it, B teams have more personality" sort of attitude

Pym sucks

This had me giggling:

Odd thing about that story line, Pym was never meant to strike Janet like that. THe artist didn't read carefully enough, posted our crazed yellow jacket striking her, and he became known best for being a wife beater in the comics for decades. One defining moment born of a miscomunication

Unless you're talking about Millar's Ultimate version

who was deliberately made far worse and far darker.

THe 'darker edgier' stuff for the ultimate line was kind of a turn off for me

In the original Mainstream comics? Pym went psycho, developed multiple personalities of sorts and struck his wife because of that writer/artist miscommunication, not that he wasn't freaking her out with said breakdown. In the Ultimates, that version of Pym hunts her down with bug spray and beats her flat out. Ugh. Neither is a 'good thing' but Ultimates tried too hard to go edgelord with it

IMO. Many loved it

Now Ultimate SPider=Man was for at least the first year really good stuff.

But that's Bendis and now I'm rambling about stuff the comic geeks among you already know, and the others could probably care less about ;O

Honestly the best new superhero out in the last ten years if the new Ms Marvel Kamala Khan. IMO. She's a breath of fresh air. She's a pakastani teenage girl with shape shifting superpowers... so diversity, but wait! It's not just something off a check list! her faith is a part of her life, and important but not all there is. her family has depth and dynamics. She has cool and not so cool friends. She writes fan fic about the Avengers ...her battle cry as she swells her fists to gigantic super strong sizes is "EMBIGGEN!"
