I'm rather fond of the character of Prince Edward from Slipper and the Rose, at least as played by Richard Chamberlin. He's a decent chap, a touch prone to wallowing in self pity, but he does catch himself when he does it.

Given that Pygmallion tha it was based on had her leaving Higgins and marrying fred, that doesn't feel unwartanted in the slightest. Given that he was a jerk, it feels overdue and proper regardless. He taught her how to be a lady, and ladies know their self worth. She was a scrapy flowershop girl, and that scrappiness while veiled is still there. So good on the new version 🙂
