Some cats just don't like certain types of litter, but be less picky about pee vs. poo for whatever reason. Try setting up another box / local with different litter if it continues?

Ohhhh... only time I ever had litter problems was when I tried the corn cob stuff.

Also I once tried to switch from a box that had an open entry to one with a swinging flap door, and Jackjack promptly expressed displeasure by pissing on my bed. Note taken, flap came off!

*nod* I am hoping that with a 2.5 mo old, some opinions will be malleable. I'm not betting the farm on it, though.

Like say, I think she just got settled on the kennel as a place she could go, or sleep. I think she'll get more picky as she gets older. So far so good on the potty. She'll has a box in the catio, but she doens't know she has the catio yet.

We'll keep the mattress pad in her favorite napping spot and clean the kennel and see where that takes us. Learning curves.

Option c: buy a small miniature toilet and train them to use it.

Like a scaled down version of a human one, complete with miniature magazines sitting on the tank.

She's a baby. She can have treats and the cat version of "Elmo's Potty Time."

My sister has a 1yr old, and he gets along so swimmingly with my mom’s kitten. Both are very curious and whappy!
