I played more on the tail end of the oWOD years I guess..can’t remember exact dates but I think 97/8-2001. When they restructured things a bit so FA was moderated and other stuff. Then yeah I took a break too, then just assumed the old site was dead and then about a year and a half ago randomly stumbled upon the chats again and was surprised

Just about EXACTLY my story! We must have known each other in some guise. Although, I'd migrated away from WW sites in those later years up through 03 or so.

Me and a friend played Max and Patzy, a malk duo in shadows, Bustifer the cockroach pooka was my firnost character and I had a fella in the fallen angels game named Stephen McSteve if those ring any bells

I'm afraid I only know Bustifer, and him only from recently at Firnost.

I pretty much played only in Firnost, and only up to a point. My oldest character is a Sidhe Countess, Akanthea aka Thea Gates.

Most of the others I play now were created as NPCs back then and given recent, new, life, or flat-out just created recently.

I certainly appreciate changeling more now than I did back then.

First, let's agree on our cliches and tropes "Never trust anyone over 30." Right? So why make an automatic grump age at 25!?!?!

Grumping at mid 20s had me going "mmm" and now I'm going "no, not even close"

Second, yes, it's a state of mind; we all know old souls in young bodies and immature assholes in old crates.

IF you are going to pick a number, it should be 30. We all know that.

BUT I like what I have heard (have not read) of the C20 system that effects aging.

Not sure I buy it all completely but....

It’s...an odd system that has to do with the balance between your glamour and banality.

And I'm fine with that much of it. I think it's the HOW of what they did.

On one hand I like it because it tweaks stats to slightly better reflect age (Grump has less glamour than wilder but can resist banality slightly better since they’ve “been around”.) But it also lays out conditions where you can have stuff like a childling jumping straight to Grump (which...sure, a lot of kids grow up fast in this awful world) or a Grump reverting to a childling which just sounds ridiculous visually

As I said, I haven't actually read the rules. *hangs head* BUT. I dunno about a grump 'de-aging' into childlinghood BUT I could see knocking a couple wrinkles off and gaining a sense of wonder that -translates- into a younger outlook and demeanor.

I had fun with the kith changing cookie! Was hoping for Sluagh since they give murph the creeps but it wasn’t in the dice.
