So you take one of the major attractions in middle TN (Yes, all is relative) Where thousands come every summer and there are musical events at the same time selling this as a package. Well, guess what happens when you rip one third of the reasons families came down out of the package?

Yup.. They tried to turn it into some sort of supermall with rides at best and folks were fired because htey wreen't needed' and it went wrong. Very wrong.

Gaylord and his cronies set a good thing, a major part of the local economy on fire, and then drifted away on golden parachutes.

The Gaylord business building got a rock thrown at it every month for a couple of years at first.

On the flip side, Dolly Parton saved Silver Dollar City in the Pigeon Forge area , it got renamed Dollywood, and was doing 'okay' thanks to her in East tN Guess where folkks went? Dollywood and other areas are doing very well, and frankly, Dolly Parton is one of the greatest philanthropists we've ever known. Her literay program helped her county, now helps the whole south. When fires took whole suburbs, she provided charity and more to her folks and total strangers alike. So down with the Gaylords of the world, but if east TN had a truly worthy lady to base a good noble on, it would be Miss Dolly Parton.
